I can't play!

Ok so this started happening before I left but for some reason when I start rubies, within a few minutes, my pc just shuts off. I hear the fans kick on higher when I start it and it's like the laptop gets too hot or something and shuts down. It's not being overclocked or anything and I tried blowing out the fans, however I think I might take off the case and actually use some canned air to clean it out. Otherwise I can't play Rubies! However, I am going to build a new computer, so on that note. I want to build a desktop for relatively low costs so I am going to source it from pieces from online and from Fry's electronics (it's a big wholesaler for electronic parts). Anyone have any suggestions on a low priced decent motherboard and processor. I was thinking dual core since they aren't the newest thing on the market so hopefully they aren't incredibly expensive.

Ok, so I have it fixed. I took apart my laptop and cleaned out the fans, apparently 4-5 years of Arizona dirt,lint, and just dust in general can really slow build up. It took me a little bit since I had 2 fans. But literally, after I turned it back on it ran 10 times quieter and smoother! Also, I have the parts list to build a new PC but we might wait until next semester starts and possibly get a new one. On that note. Come and play with me tomorrow afternoon and evening (Friday)!

is arizona dirt, lint and dust dirtier, lintier, and dustier than, say, belgium or canadian dirt, lint and dust?

it might not be dirtier, lintier, or dustier than other places, but it's definitely more common. Since it's so arid, everything is dried out and so dust blows all over the place, so it might not be of a higher caliber of dirt, lint, and dust, but it's more common. I still still give the average piece of dirt an 8/10 for its texture and form, the coloring can be a bit off sometimes though.
